Training

Team development & group learning

Cascata trainers have spent their careers in education and related fields and bring an enormous depth of experience to designing and delivering training for diverse groups across a variety of industries. Cascata trainings can be conducted as standalone courses, as a series, as a team retreat, in small and large groups, and adjusted in length and scope. We draw on an extensive collection of core curriculum in developing trainings. We tailor skill development sessions to meet the needs of the group and your organization’s objectives.

Cascata’s Approach

To us, every organization is different; every team is unique. This is why we take a customized approach to our work. We listen and we learn up front. This groundwork can involve in-person interviews, consulting with key stakeholders, and reviewing relevant materials. Through this process, we are able to align learning objectives with organizational and team goals, meet learners where they are, and tailor our core content and the use of time to best meet the needs of participants and the organization.

Cascata’s Training Methodology

Our group trainings are participatory by design to engage learners with hands-on practice and feedback.

Sessions are designed as a series of learning modules which include: short content lessons, each followed by an opportunity to put the learning into action through small or large group activities or individual exercises and immediately reinforced through facilitated debrief and group discussion.

Sustain the Learning

With layered learning, participants have the opportunity to practice tools and skills that have been introduced and practiced in a session; put the learning to use in their work environments; then build on the skills in the next session. This process builds competency over time and helps imbed (hardwire) and sustain the learning.
